The Trainers

Wendy Griffith

Wendy Griffith Potts began riding at the age of six, and has been training Arabian and Half-Arabian horses for over twenty-five years. A consummate showman, Wendy excels in the arena’s spotlight, having personally won over 150 National & Reserve National Championships. She has won 11 Arabian Professional Horseman’s Association Hunter/Show Hack Trainer of the Year Awards, 10 Arabian Horse World Totally Tops Hunter Trainer of the Year Awards, 2 Arabian Horse Times Reader’s Choice Hunter Trainer of the Year and in 2012 Wendy was the winner of the prestigious USEF Equestrian of Honor for the Vaughn Smith Trophy.

In addition, Wendy has trained the purebred Arabian who has won the most National Championships, NDL Pericles+//, AND the most titled Half-Arabian, Berried Treasure++++//.  Both horses earned numerous rose blankets in Hunter Pleasure, Show Hack and Side Saddle.

However, Wendy’s greatest accomplishment is perhaps the overwhelming and consistent success of her amateur riders, many of whom have been loyal clients for over 15 years! Wendy has an amazing talent for finding the perfect mount for each rider, giving everyone the highest chance for success. Her desire to see others succeed and her passion for sharing knowledge, has earned her Youth and Amateurs over 200 National & Reserve National Championships.

One of the most remarkable attributes of Wendy’s program is that she never stops learning. Her training method continues to grow and evolve with the industry as she constantly pushes herself and her horses to be better, never resting on her laurels.
